Please join us for the seminar of the speaker series, “Illuminating the Importance of Equity in Preclinical Research: Scientist, Patient, and Community Voices” hosted by Sharie Haugabook, PhD [E], and Cara Purdy, CCRC [C], from the National Center for Advancing Translational Sciences (NCATS) Therapeutics Development Branch. This seminar took place virtually through the NIH Videocast on December 5th, 2023. This seminar series brings together the journey of preclinical research from multiple perspectives with the intent to illuminate the importance of equity in preclinical research. This seminar, “Preclinical Advances in the Ehlers-Danlos Syndromes,” is about how a patient-scientist (Cortney Gensemer, PhD) a clinician (Sunil J. Patel, MD), and professor (Russel Norris, PhD) collaborate to make advances in Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome research.
