In this video, I will be showing you how to take apart an Xbox One controller without the need for a Torx Screwdriver! Although it is highly recommended to use a Torx screwdriver, it's possible to do it without What you'll need: Xbox One Controller Small Flathead Screwdriver or Torx Screwdriver (http://amzn.to/2j5lhtQ) Somewhere to store loose screws What you need to do: 1) Remove battery pack: Take the back part of the Xbox One controller off. Set it aside. 2) Remove handle covers: Take a flathead screwdriver, perferably something small like a jewlers screwdriver and pry from the corners of the controller to take the controllers handle covers off. 3) Poke hole where battery pack screw is located: Behind the battery pack there is a small indentation that has a screw hiding behind it - poke through the paper to expose the screw. 4) Unscrew remaining 4 screws: You'll need a Saftey Torx Screwdriver (different than the T6 Torx Screwdriver for the screws inside) or a Flathead screwdriver that is the same diameter as the screw. Once you remove the last screw behind the battery pack you'll feel the controller start to come apart. 5) Remove front You can lift the front of the controller off. 6) Remove back Lift the back of the controller off. 7) Profit!
