Kanchanaburi is a picturesque town in the west of Thailand, located approximately 130 kilometers from Bangkok. It is known for its beautiful natural scenery, historic landmarks, and relaxing atmosphere. One of the most popular attractions in Kanchanaburi is the Bridge over the River Kwai, which is a historic railway bridge built by Allied prisoners of war during World War II. Another attraction in Kanchanaburi is Erawan National Park, which is home to the stunning Erawan Waterfall. The waterfall is made up of seven tiers, each with its own natural swimming pool, and visitors can hike up to the top to enjoy the breathtaking views. If you have the time we would recommend staying for at least 3 days to get to see all the wonderful things.
