Thavorn Resort is just a few steps from Karon beach. It has 4 swimming pools, an amazing botanic garden and comfortable rooms. It's a gorgeous 5-star hotel that emphasises the importance of sustainability and wildlife preservation. We got to meet the resident tortoises, rabbits, parrots and chickens that live on the premises. Here's our tour of the place. Main reason we chose to stay along Karon Beach instead of the more touristy Patong Beach was that we wanted a more peaceful and less crowded beach, away from the hustle and bustle of the city-like environment. Unlike other resorts, Thavorn is conveniently located in front of the Karon beach, just separated by the Patak road.
