In mid-1838, Mzilikazi is credited with leading the destruction of a Kingdom that was left to become a footnote in history. Mzilikazi was instructed by Robert Moffat to instruct his trusted Induna to lead a horde of women and children including Mzilikazi's teenage heir to a specific location in modern day Zimbabwe, trouble is, this location was within the boundaries of the oldest Kingdom in Southern Africa. According to the fragmented narrative, the Ndebele arrived and that was it. But that wasn't it. This region was within the Proto-Bantu Kingdom, that was almost two thousand years old that tied Southern Africa to Ancient Egypt. After the attack, Mzilikazi ensured no one talked about this atrocity hoping it would forgotten with time. As for Robert Moffat, he never named these people, only reported the story as a tragic footnote in history. Emill Holub's detailed writing helped piece together what Mzilikazi and Moffat did. This video is a summary of the hidden destruction of the Proto-Bantu Kingdom in Southern Africa.
