The tomb is that of Blanche de Grandison who died in 1347, she was the child bride of Piers de Grandison and daughter of the infamous Roger Mortimer, Earl of March. When her monument was dismantled for conservation in 2014, it revealed a secret, the lead coffin of Blanche within.
