The size of the church is truly imposing, the architecture is authentic, and the beauty of the white marble is especially noticeable, which is used to form a plateau with a large number of steps in front of the church, on which various events and concerts during the summer months... It is interesting to point out that liturgies in the church are also held in the Serbian language...Paralia does not have a local market, but in Katerini, 7 km away, a large market opens every Wednesday and Saturday where you can find cheap fruits, vegetables, spices, olive products, fabrics and simply enjoy and feel the pulse of the local population. For those for whom that is not enough, just 7 km from Paralia is Katerini, a city with over 60,000 inhabitants, to which there is a regular bus line and a bus ticket costs 1.5 euros one way and can be purchased at the machine at the bus stop itself... In just two streets, which are actually a promenade in Katerini, you will find almost all the world's famous brands... Stores in Katerini are closed on Sundays and during the week they don't have the working hours you are used to. They usually work twice a day or not at all. Of course, you will find many sights in such a large city, and this exceptionally well-organized park not far from the pedestrian area of Katerini caught my eye in particular...A large number of visitors to Paralia decide to visit Thessaloniki, 70 km away, which can be reached in less than 50 minutes by car... Of course, I wouldn't equate Thessaloniki with shopping, but somehow one-day visits always turn out that way... We will have to spend a lot more time getting to know this majesty...
