The first activation is shown at 2:00, then skip to 5:47 This is the Hawker Street level crossing at Ovingham, South Australia. It is located on the Gawler line and is the first road crossing reached after leaving Adelaide station. The crossing has two broad gauge tracks which are Adelaide Metro's Gawler line, and one standard gauge track on the western side which is the ARTC main line from Melbourne and Adelaide to Crystal Brook. Both signals have Western Cullen Hayes bases, GRS gate mechanisms, Alstom LED lights mounted on GRS brackets and Western Cullen Hayes electronic bells which recently replaced m-bells. The eastern gate has NEG gate lights while the western gate has Unipart Rail gate lights. The western side of the crossing has two traffic signals which operate in conjunction with the crossing and also separately to prevent vehicles from entering the crossing when there is a build-up of traffic at the nearby Park Terrace intersection. Train information: The first scene at 2:00 shows a 4000 class electric train being towed by 3000 class diesel railcars from Adelaide Metro's Dry Creek depot to Adelaide station. The last train is 1AD8 "The Ghan" from Adelaide (Keswick Terminal) to Darwin, with locomotives NR75 and NR74. All other trains shown are regular Adelaide Metro passenger services operating between Adelaide and Gawler. Filmed on May 4 and 5, 2019.
