Lighting Circuit 2 Plate Method Taking the Feed to the Switch and Connecting a 1 Way Switch & Light

In this video we look at a lighting circuit using the 2 plate method and I explain the connections within a one gang 1 way switch. The 2 plate method takes the feed (supply) to the switch and is often used in installation that have lots of downlights fitted (LED) because it reduces the number of cables at the lighting points.. == 🕐 Time Stamps - Cut to the action 🕕 == 00:00 - 2 plate method 00:35 - The reason the 2 plate method is used in new domestic installation when LED downlight are installed 00:44 - Only one cable at the lighting point 01:06 - Connections in the consumer unit 01:36 - Consumer unit with a 30mA for additional protection of the lighting circuit 02:05 - 6 amp type B MCB 02:24 - 6 amp type B MCB 30mA type A RCBO 02:57 - 6 amp type B MCB 30mA type A RCBO and AFDD device 04:02 - Feed coming into the switch and cable going out to the lighting point 04:37 - Both blue conductors at the switch are neutrals 04:45 - Connecting the CPC's at the switch 06:33 - Connecting the neutrals at the switch into a Wago connector 07:58 - Connecting up the one way switch 09:33 - Summary of the connection at the switch when using the 2 plate method 09:55 - Connection in the lighting point when using the 2 plate method 10:54 - Summary of learning when using the 2 plate method when wiring lights 🔵 The 2 plate method of wiring lighting circuits playlist    • Taking the Feed (Supply) to the Light...   Videos are training aids for City and Guilds (C and G) and EAL courses Level 1, 2, 3 plus AM2, AM2S and AM2E.
