This style was originally inspired by the very talented Erin Balogh @erinbalogh on Instagram, she called it the “7 Strand Braid”. Though we were inspired by her braid, our technique is a little different. We decided to call our version the, “Seven Strand Double Braid”. We called it this because the braid is so thick that it actually looks like two braids woven together! Don’t let the name fool you, with a little practice, this style can be mastered by any basic braider.
