This is a long, extreme, intense, traumatic, and enlightening conversation around sudden changes in our values and needs that can be extremely uncomfortable. I can't help but think of the old saying that if it doesn't kill you, it will help you grow. If we can regulate our nervous systems and calmly assess what is being said and what we need and feel, great clarity and understanding can result. Sometimes the truth hurts but in the long run we and the world are better off knowing it.
