A bunch of people have the same idea as you, " in ultimate people can cheat to win and that is not moral." Being completely honest, I feel the same way but the video in my opinion (or at least how I envisioned it) has a different message. The idea for me is that doing whatever it takes to win within reason. I'm not telling high school kids to go out onto the field and start throwing elbows. A majority of new or emerging ultimate players I meet lack the drive to give it their all. This video shows players giving 100% on the field in order to perform their absolute best. Of course I've gotten multiple comments taking the video way to literally and if that's what you want to do, then fine. My intentions weren't to make ultimate look like a free for all, it was to spark some drive in people who have yet to see their full potential. From a competitive standpoint second place sucks and I'm willing to bet most people would rather be sitting at the top then right below it. I've played at a pretty high level considering my age and I'm an extremely "mental" player. I need to get myself mentally ready for a game just as much as I need to physically. If I'm not walking onto the field knowing that I will be 100% emotionally and physically committed to the game I'm about to play, then there really isn't any point in me being there. That kind of fire under my ass is what really makes me perform the way that I do. All I tried to do was emulate that "fire under my ass" feeling I had before each game. Then again if ultimate for you exists in a much more relaxed setting then I'm not going to sit here and tell you that you're wrong."
