New Hollander Forager FR 550 Harvesting Willow Part 1 Daytime

This video is about a New Holland FR 550 Forager which is harvesting short rotation coppice willow. It is working on farm in East Yorkshire with a good mature crop that yielded well. Neil Watkins who runs the Energy Crops Consultants Ltd team was making a good job in difficult conditions. They managed to not damage the crops by making no deep ruts down the rows which was quite surprising due to all the rain we have had recently. Neil said he was keen to do the farmer a good job and had waited until conditions were right rather than push to go into a field that was too wet and do a bad job. The two drivers using John Deere 6150R's with Bailey & Stewart trailers were catching the crop well and not getting any punctures while I was there and apparently hadn't all season which was a concern they manage to put to rest.
