This video is on the Tunze 9004 Skimmer. I just changed out my current skimmer because it wasn’t quiet enough. Tunze is my preferred brand of skimmer because they: - Work super great - Very reliable - Easy to work on - Easy to clean - Super quiet Note: I did not get the one with the controller. Just personally didn’t feel the extra price was worth it. Airflow is adjusted by spinning the wheel on the upper magnet base. Comes fully assembled and ready to go. All you have to do is clean it, put it in place, plug it in, and adjust airflow for desired skimming. If needed it comes with a magnet mount extender. Once in place and turned on, you want to adjust the bubbles so they come about half way up the spout. Note: the instructions say for best operation not to place it near any type of Powerhead, circulation pump, etc. You want to ensure the water level for the skimmer is somewhat static. As you will see I ignored that and it is working great and consistent. Once you get it set, make sure you check back in a couple hours for any fine tune adjustments needed. For cleaning, you should turn it off before pulling the cup for cleaning, you will see I do not turn it off, never have with any of my in-tank skimmers.
