The Crusaders, "Keep That Same Old Feeling" Bass Cover By Buster

The Crusaders had one of my most favorite sounds and bass players during my teen years in the 1970s so I wanted to cover one of my favorite songs by the Crusaders so I chose Keep That Same Old Feeling from 1975. The Crusaders were comfortable playing many different genres of music from straight jazz, to urban R&B, to R&B based jazz, to even blues. Although their biggest hit would come in 1979, Street Life, the title track from the album of the same name, this song comes from an album that had some really nice tracks including this one from their 1975 Blue Thumb Records release Chain Reaction. The group was formed in the late 1950s in Houston, Texas as The Jazz Crusaders. The group performed through the 1990s with a combination of different members but is mostly known for the sound created by Wilton Felder, Joe Sample, Stix Hooper, and Robert "Pops" Popwell.
