An afternoon in the Lomond Hills with the Green Hairstreaks. A butterfly vying for top spot among the lepidoptera of Scotland with its stunning display of ever-changing emerald, flitting above the tops of gorse and blaeberry, bravely fending off attacks from all that would dare encroach on its territory. Filming Green Hairstreaks was one of my goals for 2024. Turns out filming them in a wide scene is quite difficult, so this is a video of close up clips - you'll have to imagine what was going on out of shot!
