Beim ESP8266 hat man zum Beispiel nur einen analogen Eingang und um diesen zu erweitern, können wir einen sogenannten Multiplexer (MUX) verwenden. Mit dem Multiplexer können wir mit drei Select-Pins zwischen acht Kanälen wählen und somit auf acht analoge Eingänge erweitern, die wir einzeln ansteuern können. Den Multiplexer gibt es als SMD oder als through-hole Bauteil und mit ein paar unterschiedlichen Variationen.
