Weihnachten vorverlegt – The Strongbow überraschen Fans mit der Veröffentlichung einer neuen Single am 25.11.2022 Nach Power-Rock-Nummern wie Proud & Loud und Coming Home sowie dem Country-Rock-Berserker Whiskeyman waren nun endlich ruhige Töne an der Reihe. Auch der Songtitel „Angel in Disguise“ lässt keinen Zweifel daran, dass die neue Ballade der 5 Kärntner Rocker perfekt in die besinnlichere Zeit des Jahres passt. Dabei wird weder auf den Signature – Sound der Band noch auf Tiefgang im Text verzichtet. „Angel in Disguise“ ist eine waschechte Rockballade, die sich auch in den 80ern und frühen 90ern sehr wohl gefühlt hätte. Dennoch ist es den Mannen von The Strongbow gelungen, dem Song wieder ein sehr modernes Soundgewand zu schneidern. Es war der Band wichtig, dass der Song auch mit einem spürbaren Overload an Gefühl, zu 100% nach The Strongbow klingt. Dass den Altmeistern der Kärntner Rockszene dieser Spagat wieder gelungen ist, davon zeugt auch das perfekt inszenierte Video, dass ab sofort auf Youtube für (vorweihnachtliche) Stimmung sorgt!
