大舌湖步道位於坪林的大舌湖，從漁光派出所出發，步行約1.3公里抵達步道入口，途中經過一處北勢溪的大曲流處，形似大蛇吐舌，這是大舌湖地名的由來。大舌湖步道全長約1公里，沿途有北勢溪溪流及茶園風光，步道終點—粗石斛吊橋。 粗石斛，清朝咸豐初年（1851~），安溪移民拓墾此地，看見山區土地貧瘠，多生石斛，所以命名為「粗石斛」。從粗石斛續行約20至 25分鐘，抵達虎寮潭。 The Dashehu is located at Dashehu in Pinglin. walking starts from Yuguang Police Station, it takes about 1.3 kilometers to the entrance of the Dashehu Trail. The Dashehu Trail is about 1 km in length, along the way there are the scenery of Beishi River and the tea plantation. The end point of the trail is the Cushihu Suspension Bridge.
