In this episode, we attempt to hike the famous Tongariro Crossing. This is a 7hr and 20km day hike passing over the volcanic terrain of the multi-cratered active volcano Mount Tongariro and passing the eastern base of Mount Ngaruhoe. They recommended booking for all visitors using any part of the Tongariro Alpine Crossing track. A track booking is needed to use a shuttle or guided walk service.
