The background of Shaykh AbdulAziz Al-Haqqan (may Allah preserve him): “I did not go to any Islamic University. I sought ʿIlm, Islamic knowledge, in the masjid; and that is my school. I don’t take ʿIlm or teach it from doubtful people, only major scholars and sheikhs like Sheikh Bin ʿUthaymīn, Sheikh Bin Bāz, Al-Albāni, Sālih Al-Fawzān and others. Some Mashāyikh (teachers) I have studied with for years and some for a very brief time. I have studied the most with Sheikh Muhammad Hisham Tahiri and he knows me. Some of the Sheikhs I have met and taken ʿIlm from are Sheikh Sālih As-Suhaimy, Sheikh Sulaimān Ar-Ruhaily, Sheikh Abdul-Razzāq Al-Badr, Sheikh ʿAli At-Tuwaijry, Sheikh Falāh Mundakār, Sheikh Sālih As-Sindi and many more. I am on the way of Sheikh Bin Bāz, Bin ʿUthaymīn, Al-Albāni, Sālih al-Fawzān; not on any sect or party. I am the lowest of the students of knowledge.
