Trading Beta Pokémon to Pokémon Gold - An Adventure!

This video was originally created over half a year ago. However, prior to publishing it, there were a few changes I would've liked to have made to the video, so I kept it unlisted. In the midst of IRL stuff and 2020 being... 2020, I'd forgotten about this video and at some point misplaced the raw video files. I only realised this mistake a few days ago when I was planning my next set of videos. This version is complete, but I would've liked to have changed up the formatting to make it a bit easier to read, among other stuff (fixing small errors, writing JP names better, demonstrating later leaked beta versions, etc.). Anyway, with that out of the way, the original description follows. This video is a little different to my usual fair, as instead of just showing a beta Pokémon being sent from the Spaceworld demo through to Generation 2 with some ACEing (which frankly, would've been boring), I decided to cover a thought process of sorts in getting beta Pokémon over to Generation 2, as well as discussing the various issues that I thought would arise, as well as dealing with the actual issues through some good ol' ACE. I don't know if I'll use this type of format for upcoming Pokémon videos (spoilers from seven months after typing this, I don't) but hey, it's something new :) I'd received quite a number of comments concerning if it was possible to trade beta Pokémon from the Spaceworld demo up to Generation 2. Initially, I said no, since directly connecting the two versions doesn't work, and using Generation 1 wouldn't work because of the conversion process. See, not only was I taking into account (albeit somewhat incorrectly) the types changing, but the resulting Pokémon not being "representative" in the final version. Trading a beta Murkrow from the Spaceworld demo to Gen 2 and having it become a Phanpy isn't representative, for example. It wasn't until I tried to trade one of the beta starters (despite my presumption of the trade conversion messing up the types) to Generation 2 and seeing that it actually worked that I realised I wasn't seeing the bigger picture. So, for the tl;dr;dw: Yes, you can send beta Pokémon from the Spaceworld demo up through to the final Generation 2 games, however the Pokémon must still be representative in the final versions (which might seem subjective, I'm actually talking about the internal IDs matching), and the types must have survived through to the final game. That only includes a very small selection of Pokémon. Outside of this, you can always use ACE to fix all of this (swapping IDs, types, etc) but I feel like going overboard with ACE detracts from the original point here. I said Mew was indexed at 18, when it is actually indexed at 15. Whoops.
