Evening Sulfur Hatch Trips

Sulfur’s were hatching for about 2 weeks near the OG and Gap Tiger. A time that neither of them will let pass them by and even accompanied on one of them by our friend Rich Cornett. Several trips from 7pm to 10pm rewarded them with massive sulfur hatches on nearly every one of them! What seemed like millions of size 12 & 14 sulfur’s creating a yellow like haze just above the water surface that eventually tapered off to size 16 & 18s during the later days. An epic time period that brought countless wild browns, native Brookies, and an occasional stock trout to net in the last few hours of daylight and even into the dark of night. Guided by the moonlight we walked out of the stream each evening to head home. Neither of us can wait until next year, as trips have already been prematurely plotted.
