Here's a bit about me: Hipolito Rafael Chacón, Ph.D. is a celebrated Professor of Art History and Criticism and Museum Director at the University of Montana. For over a quarter century, he has researched, published, and lectured on a broad range of topics in the fields of art history and criticism. He was won international distinctions such as being named one of the Smithsonian Institutions Top Ten Lecturers and receiving the top research awards in the field of vexillology (flag studies) from both national and international federations. This lecture is one of two on the emperor Hadrian, Rome's second emperor born in the provinces. The Spanish-born Hadrian was known as a great traveler and builder throughout the empire.
