Including Ella giving us her input. Ingredients: 3/4 C FLOUR (All Purpose) 1 tbl. SUGAR 1 tbl CORNMEAL 2 tbl BAKING POWDER 2 tsp. SALT (To Taste) 2 1/2 C. Diced Onion (sweeter the better) 3/4 C. MILK 3 tbl OIL (FRYING) Blend your dry ingredients together. Add your milk and mix together. Fold onions in and drop onto hot oil. tablespoon sizes until golden brown. Well I really went to town on these things. Turned into a main coarse meal for me. I was addicted eating them like they were some kind of crack patty. I just can't stop. Have the same problem with pizza. Setting these on paper towels will absorb grease. However You may want to pat them dry with slight pressure between paper towel or lint free cloth.
