How to Cut Cardstock with the LOKLiK Crafter Cutting Machine

It is super easy to cut cardstock with the LOKLiK Crafter! Felicia created and cut this adorable Christmas card using LOKLiK's Idea Studio software and her LOKLiK Crafter cutting machine. The whole process takes less than 10 minutes. We have included several tips and tricks on how to use the software in this video. Enjoy! #loklik #loklikcrafter #loklikmade If you're the reading type, copy and print these steps to cut cardstock on your LOKLiK: 1. **Prepare Your Materials**: First, ensure you have the right type of cardstock for your project. Cardstock comes in various weights and textures, so choose one that suits your needs. 2. **Set Up the LOKLiK Crafter**: Position your machine on a stable surface. Make sure the cutting blade is properly installed. You can connect via Bluetooth on most PCs and mobile devices. 3. **Design Your Cut**: In LOKLiK Idea Studio, you can import or create your own design in the software. Making sure it's sized correctly for your cardstock. 4. **Load the Cardstock**: Place the cardstock onto the cutting mat. Ensure the cardstock is adhered firmly to avoid any movements during cutting. 5. **Adjust Settings**: Adjust the settings on the LOKLiK Crafter for the type and thickness of the cardstock you are using. This might involve setting the blade depth, pressure, and speed. Even if we're not using official LOKLiK materials, their settings seem to work perfect with other brands of vinyl and cardstock. 6. **Begin Cutting**: Once you're satisfied with the test cut, proceed to cut your actual design. Start the machine and monitor the cutting process to ensure everything goes smoothly. 7. **Remove the Cut Design**: After the cutting is complete, carefully remove the cardstock from the cutting mat. Flip your mat upside down and bend it slightly to remove your design. Or, use a spatula or a similar tool if the design has intricate details to avoid tearing. 8. **Post-Processing**: Depending on your project, you might need to weed out any unwanted parts of the design or add additional embellishments.
