I absolutely love the cane back trend right now--so I was ecstatic when I found these chairs at the thrift store for $10 a piece. I knew I could fix them up easily...and for cheap! In my opinion the chairs do need to be stripped and re-stained...but that is a REALLY big job (as I discovered when I refinished an old telephone bench). I think down the road I'll do that to these chairs--but for now--this fix works great! Let me know what you think! Should I have painted more of the wood? None at all? Gone with the white?
