THOSE WHO LIVE FOR GOD - Today at Family Worship Center, Pastor Gabriel Swaggart reads Matthew 5:3-12 as he continues his study on The Beatitudes. Scripture confirms that when we give our heart and lives over to our Savior, Jesus Christ, others will see a change in us. Faith in the finished work of Christ gives the Holy Spirit the leeway to change in us that, which is not pleasing to God. Christianity is believing to be saved, not a doing to be saved. Pastor Gabe explains, how because we are Christians, we desire to do right. The Holy Spirit convicts us of sin and wrong choices in our lives. Matthew 5:7 reminds us to be merciful, as God is merciful. He will bring us through our trials and tribulations, for He is a blessing God. While God forgives us at our worst, we too, will see the Holy Spirit teaching us to be forgiving of those who have wronged us. Forgiveness puts our bitterness and hurt in the hands of God. The greatest story of forgiveness ever displayed was when Jesus died on Calvary’s Cross for all of lost humanity.
