No Trains at Perth!? - All Train Lines Disruption 15th Sep 2024

On Sunday the 15th of September 2024, a signalling issue in Perth caused Fremantle Line trains (which were meant to be going to Perth Underground on the day due to a scheduled closure of the Midland, Airport and Armadale Lines), to not be able to proceed into the city. The tracks were closed, and Yanchep Line trains terminated at Leederville while Mandurah Line services terminated at Elizabeth Quay, resulting in no trains operating to both Perth and Perth Underground Stations in the daytime, a first in many years for sure! Train replacement bus routes 901, 902, 904, 905, 906, 907 and some odd patterns 912 and 936 were seen operating during the closure (including with Horizons West Charter NH buses) which lasted from 7AM all the way into the night! In this video we take a quick look at the chaos with both buses and train services during this event, at Leederville, Perth and Elizabeth Quay. I was lucky enough to have left my house early in the morning to be able to catch the start of this disruption!
