Advanced personality quiz scoring options with Riddle's quiz maker

Learn how to use the two scoring calculations for our personality test - 'Total points achieved across all personalities' and 'Max. points possible for each personality'. That might sound a little confusing, but we love to give our community of quiz creators options - lots of options. And nowhere is this more true than in the score calculations you'll see for your personality quiz. You can choose between two options: 1. Total points achieved across all personalities 2. Max points possible for each personality This video will walk you through how (and when) you should use each scoring calculation - depending on your personality test's objectives and use case. But as a quick summary, our 'Total points' option is the classic method used in Riddle 1.0. Imagine you took a 'What type of manager are you?' personality test with three results. Your scores in the 'Total points achieved across all personalities' method would be: 1. Collaborative: 20 out of 30 points = 67% 2. Authoritarian: 10 our of 30 points = 33% 3. Mentoring: 0 out of 30 points = 0% The 'Max points possible per result' uses a different calculation. You divide the points for that result by the total possible for that result. You can see this in action in the example below where we we assigned different scores for each result: 1. Collaborative: 35 (14 + 14 + 7) out of 42 possible points (14 + 14 + 14) = 83% 2. Authoritarian: 23 (6 + 6 + 11) out of 33 possible points (11 + 11 + 11) = 70% 3. Mentoring: 13 (2 + 2 + 9) out of 27 possible points (9 + 9 + 9) = 48% We hope you find this video helpful.
