Then we are walking north along Karasumadori St to Shijo-dori St. We are going through busy Shijo Karasuma and walking north again along Kamo River. All the English names of Kyoto's main roads are weird. Definitely they are NOT streets. They should have been translated "avenue". Karasma-dori, Gojo-dori and Shijo-dori are just too big to be called "street". But Japanese language doesn't draw a line between "street" and "avenue".
