One of the easiest, and most obvious applications, is to to create haunting bubbly passages of madness. As a guitarist, harmonizing them is a breeze, but experimenting beyond the chord's harmony allows for even further descents into the pit of harmonic despair. In jazz and classical, diminished seventh arpeggios played in much more sophisticated contexts. One day I'll approach those subjects but for now, I just wanted to have fun :P Like this video?
