EP AVAILABLE HERE (name your price): https://hainbach.bandcamp.com/album/c... When I sat down at the organ at Paulus church in Magdeburg, I listened to the resonance of the high and low notes. Then I taped down a few keys I wanted to drone on endlessly, creating a bed for Markus on the Euphone to respond and play in. The resonance of glass, steel and pipes on the cold stone walls of the old church created an intense atmosphere. What we played felt like it mattered, even if its just two guys in an empty church. The sound of the Euphone is both alien yet curiously human. Ice cold yet expressive, it combines with the organ, the old Ibach grand piano and tape loops with a strange fluidity. While I only approached this record when making it from an exploratory standpoint, with no set idea in mind, in listening back to the tapes I discovered a strange urgency. The setting and the sounds made me think about the things that matter, from the beautiful to the ugly. There is hope here, but it is a struggle.
