Zaxxon (1981) Game Versions Comparison|HD

This video features gameplay from the various ports of Sega's breakthrough isometric shooter arcade game Zaxxon. It was the first game to employ axonometric projection, which lent its name to the game (AXXON from AXONometric projection). The type of axonometric projection is isometric projection: this effect simulates three dimensions from a third-person viewpoint. Please note: Re-releases and virtual console versions are not included. Japanese electronics company Ikegami Tsushinki is also credited for having worked on the development of the game. 01:57 ColecoVision (1982) 05:11 Intellivision (1982) The Atari 2600 and Intellivision ports use a third-person, behind-the-ship perspective instead of the isometric graphics of the other versions. 07:15 Atari 2600 (1983) 09:47 TRS-80 Computer (1983) This is one strange port as you can see from the footage. I have included only a short preview because the gameplay is really horrible. 11:21 Dragon 32 (1983) 14:07 TRS-80 Color Computer (1983) 16:30 Apple-II (1983) 19:18 Atari 5200/8-bit family (1983) 20:45 IBM PC/DOS (1984) 23:40 MSX (1985) 25:23 SG-1000 (1985) 27:11 ZX Spectrum (1985) I don't know which is worst, this port or the TRS-80 port, It's a tie I guess🤣 I have included short preview. 28:47 Commodore 64/C64 (1985 Synapse software version) 31:40 Commodore 64/C64 (Sega and U.S. Gold version) Which port do you like? or hate, type in the comments.
