This tutorial shows how to set up a Ubiquiti Unifi G3 Instant camera to stream to Amazon Echo Show or Amazon Fire TV Sticks via an Amazon voice command. There are three required components in this process: 1) Create an account on https://monoclecam.com/ and define your camera. 2) Install the Monocle Gateway on your LAN 3) Enable the Monocle Gateway skill in the Alexa app. The Monocle Gateway script can be downloaded with: wget "https://files.monoclecam.com/monocle-..." Next, extract the contents of the archive file. tar -xvzf monocle-gateway-linux-x64-v0.0.4.tar.gz Create a Monocle Systems configuration directory. sudo mkdir /etc/monocle Generate and download your Monocle API token from your user account page in the Monocle web portal. Once you have downloaded your monocle API token file, move or copy it to the Monocle system configuration directory.
