AMAZING FINDS WITH THE GARRETT ACE 400 Metal Detector DISCOVERED COIN, POCKET KNIFE, SILVER BRACELET Went out metal detecting at the beach adjacent to the Santa Barbara pier and had a VERY SUCCESSFUL day. I picked this particular beach because it seems popular with tourists that stay across the street at the many hotels after all Santa Barbara is a vacation destination. If you drive by on any given weekend this beach and many others are packed. I metal detected starting at the life guard post and begun to get hits right away. At first it was some foil, bottle caps but soon enough I ran across the pocket knife and shortly there after the silver dime.
