MBAISE MARCH FOR PETER OBI

These youths shut down Mbaise for Peter Obi. Considering the fact that Nigerian youths hate participating in politics because of the exclusion and rot in the system, It was an emotional sight seeing Mbaise youths spend their time, money, creativity and other resources to sensitize Mbaise people about the need to get their Permanent Voters' Cards (PVCs) and teach the merits of voting for Peter Obi. This march, organized by Peter Obi for President Movement (POP Movement) was peaceful, colourful and engaging. The Convener of POP Movement, Mr. Wisdom Anyanwu, made sure there were T-shirts, Caps, Fliers, Banners, Public address system and Vehicles available for this epoch-making event. This kind of self-funded, youth-driven campaign has never happened in Mbaise before. POP Movement had some support and donations as well from well-meaning Mbaise people at home and abroad. Mr. Wisdom Anyanwu is indeed grateful to them and to his team for making it a success. The Mbaise March for Peter Obi began in Ahiazu Mbaise LGA, and covered both Aboh Mbaise LGA and Ezinihitte Mbaise LGA on Tuesday, 19th July, 2022. That day marked the 61st birthday of Mr. Peter Obi, the Presidential candidate of Labour Party for the 2023 elections in Nigeria. After the march, the youths convened at Eke Ahiara Junction in the evening to cut the Cake in celebration of Mr. peter Obi's birthday. They dropped everything personal (businesses, jobs and other obligations) and dedicated that day to Mr. Peter Obi. That sort of belief and sacrifice is unprecedented. This march is a testament to the stellar nature of ‪@thepeterobilegacy5966‬. It is proof that youths are willing to change the status quo of retrogression and bad governance in Nigeria.
