This train had its inaugural run on 29 December 2016 and regular run commenced from 5 January 2017. The train has 10 coaches comprising one AC 2-Tier (A1), one AC 3-Tier (B1), three Second Class Sleepers (SL), three General compartments (unreserved) and two Luggage rakes. Vasco-Da-Gama (station code: VSG) is a railway station serving the town of Vasco da Gama in Goa, India. The station was part of Marmagao and Vasco metre-gauge railway line. This was main rail in the state until Konkan Railway was started in 1998. It is located in Swatantra Path, Vasco da Gama, Goa. It has 3 platforms. It comes under the jurisdiction of the Hubli division of the South Western Railway Zone. The existing booking office, announcement facility, and display board area have been renovated. A premium lounge of over 350 square meters has been developed in platform 1 with an estimated cost of around 1.06 crores. It has state of the art facilities for travelers, including washrooms, lounges, and food and drink locations.
