Hi all, Now that my driveway's done, I couldn't wait to lay some slabs for our front door. Instead of just using subbase and sand in my backgarden patio video (   • Laying Garden Paving Slabs (Patio DIY...  ), I laid them on a bed of mortar. Please note I've never actually used this method before with slabs, so if you'd do anything differently, then please comment below. The total cost of this job worked out about £45, but I didn't shop around for the slabs - I saw some in B&Q and bought them straight away.
