Y GARN | A Solo Mountain Climb | Snowdonia National Park

Come along with me on a solo climb of Y Garn, the 10th highest mountain in Wales, along this beautiful 5 mile circular hike ascending via Devil's Kitchen. The views from the 947m summit were spectacular back to Llyn Idwal & the beautiful Ogwen Valley. I parked in the lay-by about a mile away from the Ogwen Cottage Visitor Centre as the closer car parks were all full before 9am on the Sunday I completed this walk (I'd advise arriving early to get a space in these car parks as it saves the additional 1-2 miles of walking at the start & end of the day). It took me just under 5 hours to complete the walk & it is one of my favourite walks to date that I've completed in Wales, would really recommend!
