'Metal Organic Frameworks' - A talk by Prof. Sujit Ghosh

Prof. Sujit Ghosh finished his under graduation from Ramananda College, Burdwan University. He then moved to Banaras Hindu University to pursue his Post graduation with specialization in Inorganic Chemistry. Thereafter he pursued his PhD from the prestigious Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur which has been a cornerstone of chemical science research in India. His passion for science led him to Japan as JSPS and CREST Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the Kyoto University. Upon returning to India, he took on a faculty position at IISER Pune. On sabbatical Prof. Ghosh went to Technical University of Munich as Alexander von Humboldt fellow, one of the most sought-after fellowships in sciences. Prof Ghosh has been awarded with many prestigious national and international awards and fellowships, INSA Young Scientist Award and DAE Research Award for Young Scientists to name a few. His works revolves around development and functional studies of Metal Organic Frameworks (MOFs) and related advanced micro porous materials for various applications in industry. Prof. Ghosh has a total of 142 publications and counting with more than 10000 citations, h-index of 51 and average impact factor upwards of 7. He has also authored and edited various number of books.
