Beautiful Footage showing Whales playing with dolphins and a seal. This is a Full Version, 12 min of best moments from their enoucnter. I listed the best moments for me below 0:55 - The seal appears a bit shy. Later it swims closer. 1:10-1:44 - The whale stretches its flippers to touch the dolphins as they swim playfully in front of it. 1:38 - You can hear the grunting sounds they make, audible even from the beach and cliffs over 1.5km. 2:29 - The whale rotates, following the dolphins as they swim back and forth around it. 3:01 - Two dolphins decide to defecate in front of the whale. Intentional? Too much emotion or a Fear? Attempt to discourage the whale or For Fun ? 4:17 - All four whales have their own dolphins to play with (one whale is underwater, slightly behind the others). 4:45 - As the dolphins swim past in front of the whales, it looks like the whales are lined up, waiting. 6:16-6:46 - A dolphin approaches two whales at the back, then swims past all four. The last two whales stretch their flippers towards it, almost like waving. 7:06 - A view of the location shows Winnie Bay cliffs ahead, with the red buoy off Avoca Beach to the left of the whales. 7:17 - A whale rolls from left to right, following the dolphins, then flips onto its back. 7:40 - Total relaxation. One whale remains vertical, watching the dolphins swim around, while another dives straight down and two others roll as dolphins glide between them. 9:16 - The whales seem mesmerized by the dolphins passing in front of them. One dolphin swims all the way from the first whale to the last. 10:43 - As the camera zooms out from the whale following the dolphins, you see the other three whales doing the exact same thing behind it. Truly speechless. These four humpbacks were leisurely making their way back to the colder southern waters, but they couldn’t resist stopping for some fun with their playful dolphin cousins and the seal. It’s not every day that you see such a joyful interaction! The dolphins and the seal are locals at Avoca Beach, NSW thriving in the abundant food resources. For the humpbacks, however, this was purely about enjoying the moment and socializing with the local residents. For over 20 minutes, they engaged in the fun, just 300 meters offshore, and their grunts could be heard from over 1.5 kilometers away.
