It provides overnight service between Discovery Bay Plaza and Central Pier 3. DB08R is an alternative ferry route. It provides temporary services in response to the decline in overnight ferry demand due to the coronavirus. It is the first and only bus route to and from Discovery Bay outside of Lantau. It is currently the highest one-way resident bus in Hong Kong. The service first operates on early hours of 10 August, 2020 (Monday). Daily departure from Central Ferry Pier 3: 02:00, 03:30, 05:00 ROUTEING: CENTRAL (CENTRAL FERRY PIER NO. 3) to DISCOVERY BAY : via Man Kwong Street eastbound, Man Yiu Street southbound, Harbour View Street, Connaught Road Central eastbound, Connaught Road Central westbound, Connaught Road West, Western Harbour Crossing, West Kowloon Highway, Tsing Sha Highway, Stonecutters Bridge, Nam Wan Tunnel, Tsing Sha Highway, Cheung Tsing Highway, Tsing Ma Bridge, Kap Shui Mun Bridge, Lantau Link, North Lantau Highway, Penny’s Bay Highway, roundabout, Sunny Bay Road, Cheung Tung Road, Discovery Bay Tunnel Link Road, Discovery Bay Tunnel, Discovery Bay Road underpass, Siena Avenue, Discovery Bay Road underpass and Discovery Bay Road.
