20 Rescued Cats Enjoying their NEW Catio

The video shows how we designed and built a 37 ft long 10 ft wide Catio for our 20 rescued cats. We used SketchUp to draw 5 designs with various features and different price points and then cats picked their favorite design! Later, we hired builders who in Spring 2019 built the Catio. Cat shelves, a swing bed, electric wall heater, ceiling fans, and various cat and human furnishings were added to enhance the Catio environment. The screening material (Super Screen) was specifically designed to withstand cat claws and pet usage. The kitties seem to really enjoy themselves in the outdoor yet protected Catio. The video shows some of the cute and interesting things the cats do when provided access to sunshine, fresh air, and outdoors. Special thanks to David Murphy, the Cat Carpenter, for his valuable advice about how to build a Catio that cats really enjoy.
