Migrating Warblers, Summer Birds & Resident Birds Flock to the Bird Ponds

This week's video is a little long but I wanted to take the time to enjoy and really appreciate the summer birds and visiting migrants while they're still here. Not a lot of new warbler varieties this week but the numbers of each type increased. I think we have at least three or four each of Tennessee, Chestnut-sided, Bay-breasted, and Blackburnian. And we had a few Orioles! I was hoping to see one of the orange and black males but just females or juveniles so far. Still neat to see them. It's always supre exciting to see the mixed flocks of warblers and other birds arrive at the bird ponds this time of year. The woodland stream is just outside my kitchen, so I've had a good view of the activity this year. I can kind of see the bird pond from an upstairs window but the stream is much easier viewing. The other new arrive this week was a Swainson's Thrush. I got some video of it but there was a lot of background noise, so it didn't make the cut. There are usually a lot of those around in the fall.
