3 Audley Freed Licks From 2007

Hey everyone! Here's the next episode of Three-For-All with 3 Audley Freed Licks From 2007. I've had some requests for some of Audley's awesome blues-rock music and this lesson is the first half of a two-part look at some of his music/ideas. If you're a fan, stick around as we're going to hit some of his chords/rhythm work in a Cry Of Love Chordplay episode that will immediately follow this Three-For-All licks lesson. The ideas in this lesson were pulled from an Audley Freed clinic for Gibson Guitars in Nashville, TN in 2007. The footage featured plenty of discussion about Audley's guitars, amps, and some overall tone guidance, not to mention some areas where he shared some licks and phrases, which is the bulk of what you'll find hiding in this episode. The ideas shared here include a snappy hybrid-picked A minor blues scale phrase, a jazzy slip-n-slide phrase that glides/shifts across the strings - along with a rhythmic variation of the same idea, a finger-twisting triad-based idea that also hits a jazzy flavor/sound, and much more! If you're already hip to Audley Freed's music and brilliant playing, then you know what's in store for you in this episode, but if you're not familiar with his name and/or music, get ready - Audley will melt your face using his slick blues-rock phrasing, intense hybrid-picking, aggressive string bending, emotive phrasing with vibrato, and a lot more! He's another package player and a great picker to borrow a few licks/ideas from. Give this episode a view, leave some comments/feedback, and please subscribe to Late Night Lessons - THANK YOU!
