The Music School of Ryan Cayabyab offered MusikTheatre for the first time this summer. Aside from techniques on basic acting in musical theater, individual voice lessons from qualified voice professors were included in the package, vocal lessons being the trademark of the Music School. We had our first class on April 8, and ended with their musical showcase last May 24. Pictures and videos included in this mini-promo (/sentimental shiznit for my students) are from some of their workshop activities and rehearsals. The class, made up of students aged 10-15, performed excerpts from the musical, "You're a Good Man, Charlie Brown"; directed by Kyla and assisted by myself. I enjoyed working with the children, and I picked up a few lessons myself. I met a lot of enthusiastic and talented young adults whom I hope have gained enough experience and motivation to keep on pursuing music and theatre. It would be nice if MusikTheatre were to become a staple offering at the School, just like the individual lessons for children and adults in voice, piano, guitar and drums. Interested yet?
