Chaos Strikes Back - Atari ST / STE

In this video, Chaos Strikes Back, released in 1989 for the Atari ST by FTL/Psygnosis. Lord Chaos has returned. We defeated him in Dungeon Master but somehow he managed to free himself from the cage made with the Fire Staff and now he threatens to conquer the world with his powers. Time is short, we must resurrect/reincarnate 4 champions and venture deep into the lair where Lord Chaos lives and defeat him again. Chaos Strikes Back is the sequel of the famous Dungeon Master a Dungeon crawler game where we control 4 heroes and we go through a multilevel underground maze full of traps, puzzles and monsters. On our way we'll collect equipment, weapons, food and tools which are essential to be successful in our quest. We can use melee weapons, ranged weapons and spells. We must take an eye to our health, stamina and mana levels to avoid "surprises". Graphics and audio are the same as the original with very few changes. The playbility is also the same but the difficulty is set on very hard nearly frustrating. Unlike Dungeon Master, we don't have a fixed path but, instead, we start at different locations and it's hard to make a map, especially if you use the rope to climb down holes. It's also much harder as you can find big monsters from the very beginning; I found a dragon in less than 30 minutes of play. You can import your original party from Dungeon Master or make a brand new with the "pumped ones" heroes. Here you'll find party selection, loading of utility disk and all its content and gameplay.
