gonna explain the story of this one bc it’s a bit confusing. This is all based off of my group’s rp and I never intended for my boy to have such a cool story! Rattlekit-paw: brown spotted tom, belongs to me Swiftleap: brown queen with kits, belongs to Kanna Eveningstar-blaze: black tom with scar, belongs to Tactical Batstrike-star: black and white tom, belongs to Storm Rattlekit was found as a loner kit and brought into Valeclan. Swiftleap cared for him when she was pregnant, but placed more focus onto her own kits when they were born. Him being alone (and feeling rejected) in the nursery just made him feel like he has to always be strong and prove himself constantly. When Rattlekit was made an apprentice to the Valeclan leader, Eveningstar, he was thrilled. He saw Eveningstar as the strongest cat in the clan and couldn’t wait to learn from the best. Except he didn’t. Eveningstar was so focused on his family + personal issues that he ended up ignoring Rattlepaw’s needs most of the time and left the apprentice to train by himself. Eveningstar eventually stepped down as the leader, giving up all his extra lives to his deputy, Batstrike. Rattlepaw saw this as a sign of weakness and the second time he was betrayed as a parental figure, so he rejected Eveningblaze completely at that moment. He ended up challenging the new leader, Batstar, to a fight to prove himself and was named a warrior early at 10 moons for his dedication. Rattlepaw didn’t win the fight, but had a blast actually being able to train with a cat that seemed to care for him. I still rp Rattlepaw, now named Rattledance for his fighting abilities to “dance across a battlefield”, and he’s such a fun character! He’s learning to gradually accept the company of others again and value his self worth outside of his fighting skills.
