In this video, I explore the deep red wilderness, on a mission to photograph one of the many derelict homesteads scattered across the outback. Way before dawn, I find myself lost in the dark, stumbling around for over an hour with no success. Just as I’m about to give up, a miracle occurs – I spot one of the old houses from the road. With excitement and relief, I set up my gear and start shooting while there's still a touch of colour and light in the sky. This unexpected find transforms a frustrating morning into a rewarding photographic experience. Watch as I capture the haunting beauty of this abandoned homestead against the breathtaking backdrop of the outback at dawn.
